Kirsten is a New York–based Singaporean filmmaker. Her debut feature POP AYE (2017) opened Sundance’s World Dramatic Competition, winning the Special Jury Prize for Screenwriting and top honors at Rotterdam and Zurich. Distributed in over 30 territories worldwide, including a U.S. release by Kino Lorber, the film was also Singapore’s official Oscar entry. She is currently developing two features: HIGHER, recipient of the Sundance Institute NHK Award, and CROCODILE ROCK, which received awards at Berlinale’s Co-Production Market and Busan’s Asian Film Market.

Repped by CAA, Kirsten's a Cannes Cinéfondation and Sundance Institute Fellow, earning her MFA from NYU’s Grad Film Program, granted by the Tisch Fellowship. She was also profiled by CNN International’s ONES TO WATCH.
