Commissioned by the National Gallery Singapore, the piece responds to the red gallery benches placed across the city; treating them as both functional objects and sculptural extensions of the institution's identity and logo. Conceived as a visual haiku, the piece traces the passing of light from night to day around the bench, as a fisherman sleeps on it, holding the bench as a visual anchor against a restless sky and sea.
